Cara + Travis

With a love this great, no amount of rain could dampen Cara and Travis’ wedding day. As science partners back in high school, they may have had chemistry then but fate made them wait many years later and a thousand miles away before things could get interesting.  Although they are both from Austin their lives after high school took them to many different states. Finally, they happened to bump into each other in Nashville, TN and that’s where their relationship really took off. A Vanderbilt girl who likes to go against the grain and a mild mannered fella who’s a rocker at heart,  it’s no wonder that they were falling for each other fast.  Fast forward many years later and here they are back in Austin and tying the knot. In an Autumn-inspired wedding, Cara and Travis welcomed their family and friends to an evening filled with amazing food, a cigar roller, and some real killer music. This was my first time hearing London Calling perform and I thought their alternative sound was just incredible and unexpected for a wedding — what a treat. They did a great job kicking off the night and keeping everyone on the toes until it was time to send off the newlyweds. The rain storm even decided to stop by to make an appearance (SEVERAL times) but with everyone’s high spirits you would have never guessed. Special thanks to N’Yoka Coleman and Corin Silva with Clink Events for putting together such an AMAZING night. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Feminine and striking are two words that I would use to describe Madeleine and our session together. She has the poise and grace of someone much more mature and the fun personality of that girl that everyone wants to be friends with. And I should mention that she has the prettiest eyes I’ve ever seen! Madeleine and her mom are the amazing floral designers behind Jennifer’s Gardens. When she told me that I could take creative control and pick out the style and location for the shoot, I immediately knew that I wanted to try something a little darker, a little more dramatic, with a little less clothing…ha, I’m kidding. We had a great time, I loved how it turned out!

Runi + Thomas

I woke up the morning of their wedding to find this message in my inbox:

“Gia– I woke up this morning feeling full of excitement and purpose– it’s hard to keep from shaking with anticipation! I feel like I’ve waited my whole life to marry Thomas!”

It’s official, I have the best job in the world! These two are amazing. I don’t want to say much more because Runi’s beautiful email pretty much says it all. Congratulations to the both of you.
