Three outfit changes, two ceremonies, and one fire dancer makes Chau and Toan’s wedding truly spectacular!

I love these guys. We met for the first time that evening and immediately hit it off. I wasn’t too surprised though. When we were emailing back and forth with ideas for their shoot and Normandy said “hey, do you mind if I bring a mini piano for us to play with?”, I just knew it was going to be a great session. Great lighting, a fun couple that takes directions very well (don’t get me started on Kip, he was practically doing my job for me), total artistic freedom, and a whole lot of love made for a perfect storm.

Kip plays the piano and Normandy thought it would be fun to do a “Linus and Lucy” inspired shot. I think we did pretty good. Yes? Yes?

(I just added the musical notes on a whim, it’s funny the ideas I come up with at 3am!)

This is a story about red pants.
This is a story about a little boy who loved his red pair of pants. He loved them so much that he refused to let his mom throw them away even after they were starting to get old, worn out, frayed around the edges, with holes all over. The little boy eventually grew up to be a big man. On his wedding day, he brought along his little pair of red pants. He did so to show that he will love his new wife the only way he knew how — unconditionally — even if she became old, worn out, frayed around the edges, with holes all over. Congratulations Sarah and Drew!
(I’ve been asked if the above story is true. Yes, it’s true…look! Red pants! Big man with red pants! You can’t make this sort of thing up!)

Sarah’s girlfriend, Alex, gave her this locket in loving memory of her parents. I heard it was tough getting the photos to fit just right.

Sarah’s surprise gift to Drew — RED PANTS grooms cake (complete with edible patches)!

They made these yellow pinwheel/signs to help guests find their way to the reception site. This was probably the craziest sign of them all. All the cars in the group I was following had to stop and pause for a second before they could figure out what it meant. Ever feel that Life likes to throw signs like this at you every now and then too?
