While I would’ve loved to have been there for their reception at Mercury Hall, Ryla had a good photographer friend of hers cover the evening’s festivities and I had the honor of covering the ceremony. Though the coverage was short, quality was definitely not sacrificed. I hope these teasers will hold you guys over until after your honeymoon! Congratulations, have a margarita for me!

Roxanne and Carlos flew in from Santa Monica to have their wedding here in Austin. A part of California must’ve followed them in because the weather that day was something that should go hand in hand with a sandy beach and an In-and-Out burger. I had been looking forward to their wedding for a really long time now, especially since Carlos’ Panamanian family is used to weddings that last until dawn. Yes, DAWN! These people know how to party! I was elbowed in the head at least three times on the dance floor but that’s the risk you run when you party with the Panamanians. You know you’ve been to a really great wedding when you leave behind a champagne soaked groom! Congratulations you two and thanks for a crazy night!
Wedding Tip: If you want to make a bold statement, do it with lighting! It’s a great way to transform a dull space, add color, and it makes for awesome photos too. If you don’t want to light up the entire room you should at least put spotlights on the dance floor. It will add dimension and take your high energy dancing photos to a whole other level!
I tried to find a photo where both Roxanne and Carlos were looking down. Between myself and two other shooters I couldn’t find a single one. Carlos kept his eyes on Roxanne the ENTIRE time. I think that’s the sweetest thing. I smiled to myself when my search came up unsuccessful.
